Job Summary:
The A/V Systems Commissioner performs configuration, programming & optimization of audiovisual technologies in the field. Additionally, working with the project manager and external stakeholders, they will help manage project drawings, change order & submittal documents. This requires time spent in both a professional office setting and on the job site.
The candidate will have or demonstrate the ability to acquire knowledge through formalized training as well as on-the-job training to be proficient in the following core functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
A/V Commissioner
- Having a thorough knowledge of industry standards and procedures as defined by AVIXA, NEC, BICSI, etc.
- Maximizing project efficiency and meeting timelines.
- Working with the project foreman and other field forces to engineer the work to create the highest value for the company
- Coordinate efforts working with our labor force, personnel as required.

Education and Experience:
- 5 Years experience in the commercial AV industry
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Extron products, XTP & NAV systems
- Crestron DM, NVX & Flex systems
- Biamp DSP
- Q-SYS DSP, control & Q-LAN
- AV networking & Dante
- Desired Training & Certifications:
- AVIXA CTS-I
- Crestron programming & CTI-P201
- Q-Sys Level 2
- Biamp Tesira Forte
- SynAudCon 100 level courses
Both theoretical and physical experience is a plus, working with one or more technology platforms. A thorough knowledge of industry standards and procedure is required. Professional industry certification as a RCDD, CTS, PSP, PMP etc. is a definite plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing in a general office environment. Some travel to other offices or job sites will be required. Ability to navigate construction sites with or without accommodation.
